About Viva La Hip Hop
Vivalahiphop.com is my labor of love for the Hip Hop culture. I was tired of searching for all the live underground,independent and mainstream performances and events playing in our area by going through weekly newspapers, artist’s sites, venues sites or hearing it through friends after the fact.
In 2007 I decided that I wanted to make it more convenient for people to have access to all the information needed regarding local shows and events in their area so that they don’t miss that legendary show.
I do my best to find all the local events in Northern California and update the calendar frequently. If you don’t see an event on there feel free to let me know.

First off, let me say the avalon is a bunch of criminals. I bought tickets to the dogg pound concert back in March and the concert was canceled. I was not told it was canceled, even when I bought tickets 2 weeks prior, when apparently it was canceled 3 weeks prior. When I called the avalon, nobody had a clue what was happening and was told to call the promotor. I tried calling them, no response, tired emailing, no response. I am basically out 140 bucks. Thanks.
