ABOUT DJ HAIRCUT
“I love watching people’s faces light up and their hands raise in the air when I drop a record.” At 28 years young, Haircut has rocked clubs and concerts from Detroit to LA and Toronto to Tokyo. Now a greater Los Angeles resident, the Michigan born and bred triple-threat (DJ/Producer/Vocalist). He’s performed with heavyweights such as Eminem, Mos Def, The Black Eyed Peas, De La Soul, Ludacris, The Pharcyde, and Slum Village just to name a few. Haircut can spin anything — Hip-Hop, R &B, Funk, Reggae, Rock, or Techno records from the past, present, and sometimes future come together while Cut is on the 1’s and 2’s. “I just play good music… music with soul.” Whether rocking some of the most exclusive clubs in Los Angeles or producing and writing music of his own, Haircut has established himself as a tastemaker in the music community with the power to make or break records among his peers and fans.

started by a group of soul/boogie collectors and enthusiasts who’ve come together to bring san francisco a fresh new vibe at a fly little underground spot, DEEP in the heart of chinatown, li po lounge. sweater funk focuses on late 70’s to early 80’s mid tempo soulful boogie and 2-step soul gems all on original wax. if you love boogie, disco, funk, soul come experience the sweater funk sound….. this party is for you!
