Music and Arts FUNDRAISER.
Come out and do your part to help keep the MUSIC programs in our schools!
With the help of the non profit organization MuST (MUSIC IN SCHOOLS TODAY), we created this fundraiser to help the youth of our community continue to have an outlet for musical arts. “For the Love of Music” is our opportunity to give back and show appreciation for the musical art programs that our generation were blessed to have access to growing up. Support our positive movement to keep good MUSIC alive.

About MuSt (Music in Schools Today)
Since 1983, Music in Schools Today (MuST) has served public school grades K-12 in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit. Read more about our programs and history.
MuST is the Bay Area’s answer to the crisis in music education. Despite extensive research indicating that music instruction supplies intellectual, emotional and physical components critical to children’s development, music and arts programs are often the first victims of budget cuts.
MuST combats this trend with a comprehensive set of programs that are resistant to budget slashing. MuST serves over 10,000 children and youth annually in schools and community centers, conducts research and development and advocates to restore music as an essential principle of pre-K through 12 education.
Mission
A San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organization with national impact, Music in Schools Today (MuST) advocates for, supports and develops integrated, accessible, sustainable and measurable music-in-education programs that improve student achievement.
Values
Music nurtures the human spirit, promotes personal development, and is central to learning and the creative process. Music and the arts are as essential to a well-rounded education as literacy, math and science. Music, both in and out of the classroom, promotes physical well-being and social understanding and helps build bridges within local and global communities.
How to Help
Since we are a non-profit organization, we can always use volunteers and donations!
Not Sure What to Do With That Old Trumpet
Because new instruments are expensive, their purchase and repair are major roadblocks to starting or maintaining school music programs. Many children cannot take instruments home to practice, since each instrument is typically shared with several other children. It is the children of families who cannot afford to rent instruments who are most adversely affected.
In 1990, we recognized the need to create the Adopt an Instrument program and have since distributed musical instruments to over 100 Bay Area schools. Currently, donations average hundreds of instruments annually through this program. Because these instruments serve students for many years, each donation represents a generous gift to many children.
Please consider donating any instruments that you may have and are not using, or sponsoring a new instrument for a school!
