This Month we welcome Nasty Nasty, El Diablo, Fresh Young Minds, and Builder.
Nasty Nasty: http://soundcloud.com/jaspey
Its hard to find a written bio on this guy, but that is part of the mystery of this dirty, filthy, disgusting bastard. He is sure to make the panties drop, and the faces melt. For those that know… “Youre Welcome!”

El Diablo: http://WWW.ELDIABLOSF.COM/
This man is a sorcerer of sorts, and his sets fall nowhere short of shocking. A powerful and energetic force on the decks, El Diablo is responsible for the music behind MalLabel’s theme song ‘Rollin With My Crew,’ and is known to flip it to psyphy when the BPM is getting too high, but the crowd’s high is just right. Our own devil with the following details: party rocking crazy pants.

El Diablo cut his teeth in the electronic world with San Francisco’s acclaimed Dhamaal Soundsystem. The crew’s Worldly drum n bass sound garnered international attention with their 2004 self-titled debut album, and while the album sold several thousand copies in the US and abroad, the singles, EPs and remixes earned consistent airplay and licensing for various features.

Following Dhamaal, and the acclaimed release of the album “Superhuman Music” with Flesh O.N.E. and The Colonel MC on the Audio8 Record Label in 2007, El Diablo was signed by MalLabel Music in 2008.

His first Release for Mallabel, “Rollin With My Crew” in November 2009, was a top 10 Bestseller on Juno download for over 5 weeks, topping at number 5 and prompting the first Dubstep Music Video release for the title track.

El Diablo can be seen performing regularly at Dubstep (underground and above ground) events and festivals in San Francisco, throughout the US, and abroad.

Fresh Young Minds: http://freshyoungmindsmusic.com/
One half of the bay area’s own dubstep group, Blackheart. Fresh young minds is the innovative side project that has glitchier tones and blips that will lift your spirits. Be sure to look up this act because Fresh Young Minds is on the rise and will soon explode.

Builder: http://www.builderbeats.com/
Guitarist turned Dub-stepper, The Builder rocks his dubz like no other producer utilizing lush sounds and effects coupled with melodic hard hitting bass.

Builder’s first two individual releases “Digital Karma” & “Giant Robot” can be found on Trips With The Unknown – Volumes 1 & 2 (Crossroads Records). His first EP “Life Trapped on Tape” (Crossroads Records) was just released this month, December 2009 featuring a selection of 4 heavy dubwise style tracks. You can find it on Digital-Tunes.net. His second release “Break Point” (Sub Pressure) is slated for release february 2010 and will feature 3 mega grimy with remixes by FSTZ and Biome. Available on Beatport, Juno, iTunes etc… Big Release!!

Builder is also working on several collaboration tracks with producers including: Twitchdubz, Fishfinger, Experiment1 & The Connectionist. Releases TBD.

Dan The Builder loves cutt’in remixes and has several posted for download including:

-Rise of the Machines (Terminator, Film)
-Shpongled (Shpongle)
-Digital Hardcore (Atari Teenage Riot)
-TECH N9NE Xperience (TECH N9NE)
-Exodus (Bob Marley)
-Nightmare (Alien, Film)

-Abominable Anomaly (Monster Quest, TV Series)

Builder’s tunes have been put into mixes and played by DJ’s including: DJ Technician, Jeekoos, Fish Finger, ReturnTrip, DJ Brandon Styles, DJ UMB, Monkey Dub, Ryan J & many more…

Builder’s work has been featured on several blogs including: Hush House, Foreign Banguage, BwompBeats & DEEPGOA.

Along with your Irie Cartel Residents Johnny 5 and Nebakaneza. Hosted by Ro Nu.

Johnny 5: http://soundcloud.com/johnny5dubstep
Although you might not recognize the face behind the layers of wobbling bass, crunchy drums, and hypnotic melodies, it’s safe to say that Johnny5 is no stranger to the spotlight. An Oakland, CA resident, by way of Chicago, Johnny cut his teeth as an MC and hip-hop producer in both cities, sharing stages with the likes of independent legends Typical Cats as well as major acts including Raekwon and Devin the Dude.

Upon moving to Oakland in 2005, Johnny5 began to take in the diverse, quickly evolving sounds pulsating throughout the Northern California music scene. Already having an extensive background in hip-hop, reggae, and electronic music, it was only natural that Johnny would embrace the dubstep genre and begin to cultivate his own sound, taking elements from each of these musical cultures. After a series of mixes that remained vastly unheard, the world began to take notice after his first official release, “Johnny 5 Alive.”

Armed with his trusty APC 40, vast collection of rare and exclusive tracks, and uncanny ability to read a crowd’s mood, Number 5 is ready to spread his unique blend of filthy bass music styles to dance floors and festivals around the West Coast and worldwide!

Nebakaneza: http://nebakaneza.blogspot.com/
Nebakaneza is nuts! I think he is certifiably insane, but he seems to find his therapy by slamming Dubstep through the speakers. Don’t be surprised if he interacts with the crowd and throws random things at you in the name of fun and mayhem. He has an eerie yet sexy style that covers many aspects of Dubstep from the face melting wobbles, to the strip your clothes off sultry sounds. He is a DJ that likes to use his mixer and turntables as instruments, so you will see him playing with the music like a DJ should. He looks scary, but is a friendly soul. Don’t be afraid to run up to him during a set and show him some love. He may just give you a bear hug and show you love back.

The name comes from King Nebuchadnezzar II who was an evil ruler of ancient Babylon, and who built the Hanging Gardens. Eventually he was exiled and spent 7 years in the wilderness wandering the land like a beast. There are many rumors about the mask, no one knows the truth.
