BPos, short for Be Positive, is San Francisco’s newest underground Hip-Hop freshness. While creating a brand new sound that is entirely their own, Goodword, D-Wiz, and dj Johnny Venetti bring it back to the roots of Hip-Hop music. Creative story lines, innovative beats, and brilliant mixing and scratching are a few of the key elements that make BPos’ new album, The Upside, a must for 2010.
Also catch them June 10th at Element Lounge in SF.
Reflection Eternal, the groundbreaking duo of rapper Talib Kweli and producer Hi-Tek, have come together for their second full-length sonic offering, Revolutions Per Minute. More than a decade after their first collaborations, Kweli and Hi-Tek are each among the most respected in their respective crafts. Kweli is a torchbearer for those craving commercially viable music that matters, while Hi-Tek has been able to deliver impeccable work that ranges from bombastic beats for the most progressive backpack rappers to bone-crushing soundbeds for the gruffest gangster rappers. Also catch them later that night at The Fillmore in SF!
