DJ Zita & La Pena present the 5th Semi-Annual
:::QUEENDOM:::
Fly Ladies Reppin the 4 Elements of Hip Hop
Sat. June 2, 2012 @ La Pena, Berkeley
Since its inception, Hip-Hop has spotlighted voices and movements of resistance. However, at times it has been used as a patriarchal tool for oppression. QUEENDOM seeks to reverse that by placing women at the center of this art form. Witness this all-female show as the ladies of hip-hop represent all 4 elements – graf writing, breakin’, MCing & DJing – as they always have.

Olmeca is an MC/Producer/vocalist hailing from Los Angeles, California. His unique production talent in both English and Spanish is one that has become increasingly hard to find, yet one that Olmeca has brilliantly mastered. In doing so, he has gained the respect of his peers in hip-hop’s demanding and unforgiving underground scene as well as that of many well-known names in the mainstream music industry.
With his edgy sound and proclamation, Olmeca quickly became a national act gracing stages from LA to Atlanta, Chicago to Houston. His appeal however is one that could not be contained solely in the United States. Olmeca is hastily gaining audiences in Mexico, Canada and is currently being romanced by audiences in Central and South America.
Olmeca is a well-seasoned performer who has shared stages with top name hip-hop artists, Latin Alternative’s most respected musicians, and has received honors in writing and performance for noted motion pictures, television series and documentaries.
