Hip Hop for Change + Herbie One Present: Hip Hop For Change Beat Battle! Hosted by Malik Diamond, DJ’d by DJ Lex (Lex Level), and judged by Tahaj The First (Tahaj Edwards), UnLearn The World (Marlon Richardson) and Babii Cris (Cris Cross).
1st Round: 2 minutes (can be more than one beat in a mix)
2nd, 3rd, 4th Rounds: 1 minute each
No laptops, controllers, or hardware!! Bring beats on a flash drive for the DJ to play.
1st Prize: Placement on Hip Hop for Change mixtape (we distribute ~10,000 per year)
2nd Prize: Spot on Hip Hop for Change show
