WHAT IS OAKLAND IN BLUE??

Oakland In Blue (OIB) is the title of Do D.A.T.’s first solo album (following his well approved EP “The Skinny”). OIB, is a Hip-Hop/Jazz fusion album. Think of it as a partnership between Do D.A.T. and Duke Ellington as in every track has a subtle sample from the mastermind crooner himself. The album also pays tribute to someone who contributed greatly to the advancement of jazz and black music. Oakland In Blue is a look into Oakland through the eyes of Do D.A.T. and his partner in rhyme Mr. Duke Ellington.

Stepping off a successful Oakland In Blue Series, it’s now time for Do D.A.T. to command the stage. Taking over the sight, sound and smell of the city of Oakland to truly create the authentic Oakland In Blue experience. Bringing true hip-hop fans a dose of superb lyricism accompanied by renowned showmanship!
