Stern Grove Festival’s 79th Season kicks off in a big way with The Big Picnic starring Janelle Monáe!
Stylish and soulful, GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Janelle Monáe is a dynamic performer, producer, avant-garde funkstress, and a creative visionary.
Local nine-piece soul and funk band Midtown Social opens the show with danceable grooves.
The fabulous Janelle Monáe brings her futuristic funky sound to kick off Stern Grove Festival’s 79th Season at The Big Picnic. A true performer, Monáe is recognized for her powerhouse R&B tunes, commanding stage presence, and a dynamic fashion sense defined by black and white power suits.
