Join artists Tauba Auerbach, JR, Nick Cave, and Stephen ESPO Powers for an art-RAGEous night of revelry spanning all seven floors of the museum until 1 a.m. A unique vegetarian dinner experience featuring tablescapes designed by Auerbach is followed by an unforgettable party with performances by A-Trak, Luna, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down and more. Get your portrait taken as part of JR’s Inside Out project, experience Nick Cave’s Soundsuit Invasions, and drink at ESPO’s Art Bar all night long.

The Life is Living Festival in Oakland, California, is a celebration of urban life packed with entertainment and informational attractions encouraging sustainable lifestyle practices and community well-being. The one-day engagement features theatrical performances, poetry readings, live hip hop and reggae music, a science and technology fair, DJ workshops, educational booths and a kids zone.

Break 4 Tots: Back To School Jam

Join us on August 26, 2016 to help Break 4 Tots serve the community one break at a time. Since 2005 Break 4 Tots has produced Hip-hop events as a means to bring our communities together, provide a space for the Hip-hop community to give back, and to provide services to youth programs locally and globally.

This year we are asking attendees to donate school suppies that will benefit schools and programs in the Bay Area and in the Philippines via Salupongan International.

Salupongan International (SI) is a solidarity network of organizations, institutions and individuals dedicated to the unity and empowerment of marginalized rural communities in Southern Philippines through international solidarity, campaigns advocacy and basic social services.

-Cypher King/Queen Competition
B-boys and girls will be getting down to the breaks in one cypher while MC’s take turns rocking the mic. One MC and one B-boy or girl will be awarded as King or Queen of the Cypher.
