The Hip Hop Book Club LIVE hosted by Jahi launches @Merritt College on Saturday, December 7th w/ special guest Chuck D will feature three (3) book titles “The Day In Rap & Hip-Hop History” by Chuck D, “God Save, The Queens” by Kathy Iandoli and “Sweat the Technique” by Rakim. An enlightening conversation will be moderated by Holy Names University Dean of the School of Education Dr. Kimberly Mayfield with greetings by Merritt College President Marie Elaine Burns. Hip Hop For Change presents it’s 3rd Annual Women’s Empowerment Summit at The Uptown in Oakland. The event will feature a conversation with panel of powerhouse women sharing their personal journeys and engaging in a diverse range of issues. The panel will be hosted by Sterling James (KBLX). The after party will showcase local artists like Ryan Nicole and Rocky Rivera, and an All-Star DJ lineup.
