All seven members of the Doomtree collective – the prolific pack of Minnesota musicians known for their explosive live shows, their ferociously DIY ethic, and their blatant disregard for the conventions of their genre – have built solo careers as rappers, producers, or DJs. No Kings is their second all-crew release, out now on Doomtree Records. Also catch them at Slims on January 31st!
Join emcee and producer Dregs One for the release of his debut album The Wake Up Call!
Dregs One has been active in the Bay Area music scene since 2006 as both a solo artist and a member of the group Gas Mask Colony. The Wake Up Call illuminates the street politics of the Bay Area, taking listeners on a journey into the Frisco haze with Dregs’ jazzy beats and eloquent rhymes.
“I’m tired of the gangster rap bling bling fantasy that they show on TV. We can’t lose sight of what’s real.” — Dregs One

Spank Rock’s sophomore album, Everything is Boring and Everyone is a Fucking Liar, is out now on Bad Blood Records. With a renowned team of producers handpicked by Spank (a.k.a. Naeem Juwan), Everything is Boring ups the electro-rap ante from his critically acclaimed 2006 debut YoYoYoYoYo.
Free download of “Energy” by Spank Rock.
Also catch him later that night at Mezzanine in SF!
This is a first come first serve event.
