Annual canned food drive benefiting the San Francisco Food Bank

Could there be a better way to start off the new year than partying for a great cause? Legendary Hip-Hop icon Crazy Legs from the world famous Rock Steady Crew teams up with Fran Boogie and Lotus to bring you the annual Yes We Can food drive at Mighty on January 28th.

This year, Crazy Legs will be joined by fellow Rock Steady Crew member Tony Touch along with special guests to be announced. Two rooms of Hip-Hop, House, Funk, Disco, Latin, Boogie and Afro will be rocking Mighty’s banging sound system all night long.

We ask that you please bring your dancing shoes, positive vibes, and at least 3 non-expired canned goods to the event.

A little background on the history of the event…

Yes We Can Can got its name from the CANned food drive nature of the event, WE can as a people, and the song by the Treacherous 3 “Yes We Can Can”. Treacherous 3 are Bobbitos favorite old school rap group and Bobbito came up with the title of the event about 17 yrs ago.

Crazy Legs is a b-boy from the Bronx, New York City, USA. He featured in the earliest stories on hip hop dancing to appear in mainstream press, and as president of the Rock Steady Crew brought the form to London and Paris in 1983. Today he is also involved in community outreach, dance instruction and dance theater productions. His pioneering status is reflected in his appearances in fiction films and documentaries, old and new.
