Legendary beat pioneer DJ Shadow headlines this month’s Low End Theory San Francisco, which also features an opening set from emerging Bay Area rap talent Antwon and special extended sets from all five club night residents: Daddy Kev, DJ Nobody, D-Styles, Nocando and the Gaslamp Killer.
Performing a special DJ set for 2013 (All Basses Covered), DJ Shadow brings his infamous sound and style to the dance floor at Mighty. An influential figure in the evolution of instrumental hip hop and sample-based music, DJ Shadow’s sonic experiments have inspired a generation of beat lovers. Melding music from diverse sources such as funk, soul, rock, hip hop and jazz into a seamless electronic experience, DJ Shadow continues to set the standard for fresh, forward-thinking and “too future” sounds.

San Jose rapper Antwon will showcase his noise-inspired eccentricities with a special opening set, and EFFIXX/New Panic provides visual stimulation. This month’s lineup also features extended sets from all five Low End Theory residents, Daddy Kev, DJ Nobody, D-Styles, Nocando and the Gaslamp Killer.
