Rapper and Producer, Corey Scoffern, better known by his stage name THE GROUCH, was born and raised in Oakland and is a longtime friend of Andrew Park. Scoffern is giving back to his local Oakland roots through his performance at this Night of Music event.

Opening for The Grouch are Oakland-based artists LAALUP and DAMOND MOODIE. Laalup aka Ambrose Prince has known Andrew Park since high school, ‘and I have seen him devote his life to bringing the diverse Oakland community together in positive ways,’ Prince said.

Park has deep roots in the Eastlake community that makes up the majority of District 2. As Executive Director of Trybe, a grassroots nonprofit for at-risk youth, Park is dedicated to growing a new generation of transformational leaders. He also works as a Department Manager at U.C. Berkeley and serves as co-chair on the Neighborhood Crime Prevention Council 17. Park strives to create opportunities to connect the community and build relationships between residents and vital city services.
