***Clams Casino (Triangle Records)***
2011 has been a break out year from Mike Volpe bka Clams Casino. After producing tracks for Soulja Boy, Lil B, The Jealous Guys and Main Attraktionz just to name a few. Volpe has broken out from behind the scenes to showcase his productions to a live audience. The popularity of “instrumental Mixtape” was the catalyst for the live performances and now on Saturday August 20th listeners in SF will have the opportunity to see his first West Coast appearance with his friends and collaborators.

***The Jealous Guys (3qtr, 24kMC)***
It’s official. San Francisco duo The Jealous Guys are
two of the most compelling things to happen to Bay Area hip-hop
– (via) southern hospitality
Enough said but along side top notch video production from Chasen Paper and Trevor Traynor and genius beat production from Clams Casino and Lunice “The Jealous Guys” are looking to make some serious noise for bay area hip-hop.
“The Love Mixtape” put them on the map and the anticipation for “Audio Book” is at an all time high. The energy in the room during this performance may just reach heights unseen or heard since the golden era of early 90’s bay are independent hip-hop.

***Main Attrakionz (Mishka)***
Ethereal beats side by side with classic traps and slaps make Main Attraktionz an anomaly in a genre that generally doesn’t stray far from the norm. The Oakland duo are prolific and seem to have a work ethic that is unmatched and unstoppable.
Recognition from print publications like “The Fader” and blog love from the likes of “Altered Zones”, “Southern Hospitality” and “Space Age Hustle” have cemented Main Attraktionz as legitimate media darlings in 2011. An August release sponsored by Mishka should again bring the anticipation for this performance to a fever pitch.
