We regretfully announce that due to the new requirements by the San Francisco Department of Parks and Recreation, there will be NO “DOIN’ IT IN THE PARK” this year. This is the first time in 10 years that we will not be celebrating Labor Day at Golden Gate Park, with you – our family.

Doin’ It In The Park was truly a labor of love between friends who wanted to give back to City for supporting our passion for music and nightlife. This was an event by us, for all of us. From funding the event to logistics, we did it all. But do to the exponential growth of the event, the City is requiring more than we can handle, financially.

Next year we are planning to bring Doin’ It In The Park back, with full sponsorship for our 10 year anniversary.

With that said, we will be celebrating Labor Day at The Phoenix Hotel on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST. DOIN IT AT THE PHOENIX! The event will be from 12-7pm and FREE. We will also be providing FREE BBQ. The event will be 21+. Then we take the party to MIGHTY for Doin’ It After Dark!

Thank you for understanding. See you at Doin’ It At The Phoenix!

Mars Today has been a fixture in the Bay Area’s live band hip-hop scene for years. He has released 2 full albums as an artist (formerly known as Yung Mars), both of which charted in the top 5 Hip-Hop albums on National College Radio at the time of their release. Drifting away from rapping, he started to take regular vocal lessons, and focused more on singing, songwriting, and producing for other artists. He has produced for such artists as Los Rakas, sayknowledge, Rojai (Bayonics), Cashius Green, & Cait La Dee to name a few… Most recently he produced an album of un-official remixes entitled “The Re-Mixtape”, creating new musical arrangements for some of his favorite songs. For the live show, each featured artist will be coming on stage to perform 2 songs that were either produced by, or remixed by Mars Today. (http://mrmarstoday.com & @mrmarstoday)

DYNAMIC’s authentic expression offers a multitude of soulful flavors that magnify the senses and stimulate the mind. Their combined musical influences have defined a home-grown sound that is internationally recognizable with solid grooves, strong melodies and powerful yet simple lyrics. Labeled “One of the Best Hip-Hop Bands of the Bay” by the San Francisco Chronicle, DYNAMIC is taking the world by storm! They just finished production on a new album entitled “Microcosmic”, and are excited to introduce the world to their new sounds!!

sayknowledge: Praised by hip-hop enthusiasts as a young rap prodigy mature beyond his years, sayknowledge has a penchant for matching “highbrow” lyricism, with street accessibility. He has a dizzyingly malleable flow, stretched wide by a broad range of multigenerational pop-culture references. Raised in San Francisco, he started making music at a young age, pushing the hyphy movement with his friends until they saw it slip away into commercialism. Eventually he struck out on his own, forging new sonic paths influenced not only by the Bay Area sound, but also classic R&B, soul, reggae, & funk music. He recently released his first full album entitled “Vibe Called Quest”, which was produced Mars Today & Mikos (40Love). (@sayknowledge)

Julio Galvez aka The Whooligan (OM), is a rising taste maker known for his love and dedication to music and his community. Whether blending two records in a unique way or creating an original one of his own, the running thread in all his work is the passion for music and the people he spins it for. (@TheWhooligan)

Mikos Da Gawd is one of the most well respected producer/dj’s in the Bay Area. He is truly a talented musician in his own right, producing for such artists as HAZE, George Watsky, A-1, 40Love, Black Spade, Zion I & more!! As a dj he prides himself on his ability to make people dance, and roll seamlessly from 90’s R&B into modern Club slaps.. (@MikosDaGawd)
