2004-2005 Under raps (Open Mic) was introduced at the Arrow bar (now The Showdown). It wasn’t your average Open Mic though. It was a place where Hip Hop fans could come and see some of their favorite local rappers freestyle over Live beats.
Well, we are bringing it back. Every last monday of the month, Under Raps will feature Live beats by a local Producer and a Fresh MC Host. We will always have Gurpy drink specials: $5 Pints of Gin & Juice, $3 Fernet shots, $3 Red Stripes. $3 Trumers.

Per[Mission] to Speak: An Open Mic
Artillery Apparel Gallery and the All Mighty Family are hosting a series of monthly events in which members of specific communities can come to showcase their talents and work. These communities include, but are not limited to: poets, artists, musicians, writers, dancers, and enthusiasts of such.
Per[Mission] to Speak is one of such events and will be held every 4th Thursday of the month at Artillery Apparel Gallery from 7 – 11pm. This event will be set in an open mic format, and will also include performances from a few featured poets. Also, a different local food vendor each month will be selling edible goods to compliment to poetry being performed.
