Low End Theory San Francisco moves to the venue Mighty for the new year and kicks off 2013 with a stellar lineup: Bay-area turntable legend Q-Bert, Brainfeeder artists Teebs and Mono/Poly, along with residents Daddy Kev, DJ Nobody, D-Styles and Nocando. Thundercat’s performance has been postponed until a later date.
One of the most skilled scratch DJs in the world and original member of the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, Q-Bert offers a unique and exciting experience for fans of turntablism. With an inimitable style and rumble heavy sound, Q-bert has been named America’s Best DJ (2010), has won multiple world championships and is in the DMC DJ Hall of Fame.
A producer and visual artist with an ardent fan base, Teebs creates delicate and beautiful music, painting each track with a unique sound and character. Mono/Poly makes multifaceted productions that blend powerful rhythms with funky innovations and depth. These Brainfeeder artists will be joined by the club night’s beloved residents, Daddy Kev, DJ Nobody, D-Styles and MC Nocando.
Low End Theory San Francisco moves to the venue Mighty on January 4, to take advantage of the club’s supreme sound system design, which is based on the legendary NYC dance club Paradise Garage. With three bars, towering ceilings and a New York warehouse feel, Mighty is an exceptional music venue nestled between the Mission District and Portrero Hill.
