Some of the Bay Area’s best DJs and Artists have assembled to pay tribute to life and legacy of Oakland’s beloved Graffiti King and Bay Area legend, Mike “DREAM” Francisco. Recognized worldwide as a style master, Dream’s graffiti established the visual aesthetic of Oakland’s Hip Hop culture, and put The Town on the map in what is now the fastest growing art movement in human history.
This event marks eleven years since Dream was tragically murdered, and all proceeds from the event will benefit Akil Francisco, Dream’s only son, now 11 years old.
All proceeds benefit the Dream Book Fund and the Dream Legacy Fund for his son Akil, 11, who recently lost his mother to breast cancer.
If you are unable to attend and wish to support, please make checks out to The Dream Trust Fund, or Akil Francisco.
Checks can be mailed to:

Bay Area Hip Hop is rich in tradition, local heroes, and successful transplants. Friday January 14th Club Dub’s DOPE ASS WINTER BALL II brings together all of the above to San Francisco’s Club 6. In its second year, DAWB features Planet Asia, Fresno’s own Bay to LA transplant, Dub Esquire, die-hard traditional B-Boy, and local hero oft counted out but on the come back: Mic T. The bill is rounded out by Winter Ball repeat offenders, The Dime ,and sprinkled with seasoned vets and hungry newcomers, the understudies!
