On Feb 24th the 2nd Annual Black Joy Parade will hit the streets of Oakland. The parade is a live experience that celebrates the black community and provides a space to champion black culture, past, present and future. This year’s theme is: Crown Your Joy, so come ready to enjoy music, dance, food, activities, black vendors and more!

A kid zone, healing village, Hennessy lounge, Black wineries, dominoes, beauty bar, food, soccer tournament and more
PLUS we’ll be having a GRAMMY nominated headlining performance for FREE
Parade participants also will get a chance to compete for a Best in Flow award which will give 4 different an individual or group in the community a grant to help them achieve what brings them joy.
A total of $10,000 will be divided equally among the four winners of four categories:

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Everyone is welcome to the parade, but you must be 21+ to drink.
What’s the best way to get to the event?
The start of the parade (14th St. & Harrison St. Oakland) is a 4 minute walk from the 12th street Oakland Bart station. We recommend public transportation as parking is limited.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope. You’re all set.
Please come visit us in Oakland at 1901 Broadway (steps away from the 19th Street BART station), and if you’re in the Bay Area on Friday, February 1st, join us starting at 7pm for our opening celebration! Bells Atlas, Sol Development, Queens D. Light, Jazz on the Sidewalk, and MJ’s Brass Boppers will perform, all ages are welcome.
