Friday, May 20th, MIGHTY is proud to present 45 LIVE w/ Peanut Butter Wolf, J Rocc, Mayer Hawthorne & Baron Zen. Local support comes from none other than DJ Shortkut (Beat Junkies | Triple Threat) & DJ Platurn (45 Sessions | Oakland Faders). Advance tickets are available through Eventbrite.com. Doors at 9PM, 21 and up.

45 LIVE premiered at SXSW 2010. The party features vinyl 45 sets from the Stones Throw crew all night. MIGHTY is proud to premier it in the bay area w/ the Stones Throw Records crew and our favorite local heavyweights.

In the age of digital DJing it is seldom that you get to hear an all vinyl set an entire night, let alone 45’s. Vinyl will supply us with a warmer, richer sound, while MIGHTY’s Richard Long and Associates analog system will set the organic feel for a classic night of music.

Red Bull Thre3style

Red Bull Thre3Style is an innovative concept that gives highly skilled DJs a platform to battle, perform, gain notoriety and express themselves in a party atmosphere taking place at DNA Lounge in San Francisco, CA.

Unlike other DJ battles that are based on more technical aspects, this is a creative and unique format that seeks to find the DJ that has best perfected the true art of “party rockin’.”

  • Eight of the Bay Area’s top DJs will fight for the crowd’s favor. each
  • A 10 minute set that MUST contain at least three different musical genres.
  • A panel of music industry judges will select the winners based on track selection, creativity, mixing skills, stage presence and crowd reaction.

Red Bull Thre3Style is an international event series that made its U.S. debut in 2010; this year the series will feature qualifying events across the United States.

The top DJs from San Francisco, Phoenix and Los Angeles will battle for two West Coast spots in the National Finals being held in Las Vegas in October. The winner from the National Finals will then go on to compete in the International Final in Vancouver, B.C. in December.

Competing DJs include: Platurn, Jeffrey Paradise, Dials, Goldenchyld, B-Cause, Eric Sharp, Natalie Nuxx, and Solomon.

San Francisco party-scene staple Fran Boogie will play host, and judges DJ Hakobo (Music Curator of SOM Bar), Trevor Simpson (DJ/Host of Saturday Night Clubber’s Commute), DJ Shortkut (Invisbl Skratch Piklz & Beat Junkies) and the legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff, who will also perform a special set to close the show.
