Bay Area Freshmen 10 Class of 2011 STAR Cyphers

We’re filming the Bay Area Freshmen 10 Class of 2011 STAR Cyphers, this time in front of a LIVE audience, Sunday, November 4th! Come through, meet last year’s Freshmen, and witness some 102 octane GAS live!

The whole day is being hosted by SF’s own San Quinn, and DJed by 106 KMEL’s DJ Amen. Doors open around 1PM and we’ll start filming the Class of 2011 cyphers, which includes Loverance, Young Gully, Young Bari, Rafael Casal, Richie Cunning, Damey, Show Banga, Symba, Lil Rue, and Mike-Dash-E. There will also be some major surprise performances throughout the day!

This is an 18+ event but you MUST have photo ID to enter!

“Around the Block”

A hip hop and bass music showcase with live performances by

BOAC (Live Beat Set)

Boac is a rapper and producer from the San Francisco Bay Area. He released his first album, “Modern Originalus”, on 2B1 Records in 1998. His name Boac is an acronym for “Banging out all classics”,[1] He is a founding member of The Earthlings crew (TopR, Bootleg, Safahri, Neurotic Nate, Dick Nasty). Hailing from The Bay Area. The Earthlings have played with De La Soul, Old Dirty Bastard, KRS-One, Rakim, Goodie Mobb, Fishbone, Jurassic 5, Quannum; and participated in large hip hop festivals such as “Broke Ass Summer Jam”, and headlining his own “Fuck Pop” convention at the Maritime Hall in San Francisco.

Boac has toured with hip hop Icons Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, X-Men, Emceed for Z-Trip, 2004 Vans Warped Tour with Atmosphere and Non Phixion, alongside TopR, Z-Man and Bootleg, and headlining Their
own “F*ck Pop ” convention.

“Around the Block” will feature Boac debuting his live beat set: “All original live beats / button pushing / tweaking / sound selecting. November 3rd. Club Six Darkroom. Midnight. Just me, my laptop, midi controller and crazy blaps. Hip Hop / Bass/ Glitched out / electro / 4×4 / future / Dub / Etc. !!! “
